There will be a pre-selection for the study programme. The pre-selection is based on audiovisual recordings following the application period. Please see the Requirements section for detailed information on the video recordings to be submitted with the application.
No later than 4 weeks after the application deadline, you will be informed whether you have passed the pre-selection or not. If you have successfully passed the pre-selection, you will receive an invitation to the audition exam in Berlin.

- Ein anspruchsvolles Werk aus des 19. Jahrhunderts oder der Moderne
- Eine technisch anspruchsvolle Etüde freier Wahl (z. B. Sor op. 6, op. 29; Coste op. 38; Villa-Lobos)

Requirements Audition Exam Programme:
- A challenging work of the Baroque (e.g. one movement or several movements of a suite, sonata, partita)
- A challenging work of the 19th century or the modern age
- A technically demanding étude of your choice (e.g. Sor Op. 6, Op. 29; Coste Op. 38; Villa-Lobos)
Exams in Piano, Compositional Technique and Ear Training

Anforderungen Aufnahmen:
Der Bildausschnitt muss so gewählt sein, dass Gesicht, Hände, Arme und das gesamte Instrument gut sichtbar sind.
Es wird die bestmögliche Audioqualität empfohlen (sollte die Wahl bestehen: OHNE Komprimierung).
Jedes Werk muss eine durchgehende Liveaufnahme sein.
Vorzugsweise pro Werk ein Video und klar benannt.
Die Videos dürfen nicht älter als ein Jahr sein und dürfen Werke des vorbereiteten Prüfungsprogramms beinhalten.

Requirements Recordings:
The picture detail must be such that the face, hands, arms and the entire instrument are clearly visible.
The best possible audio quality is recommended (if you have the choice: WITHOUT compression).
Each work must be a continuous live recording.
Preferably one video per work and clearly named.
The videos must not be older than one year and may contain works from the prepared examination program.
Requirements Repertoire:
A challenging work of the Baroque (e.g. one movement or several movements of a suite, sonata, partita)
A challenging work of the 19th century or the modern age
A technically challenging Etude of free choice (e.g. Sor op. 6, op. 29; Coste op. 38, Villa-Lobos)
Requirements: At most 3 video files can be uploaded, at least 1 video file is required

Hosting of media files
Files are hosted on Muvac and need to be uploaded during the application process.
Usage
Media files are used for internal usage: streaming only
