We are not only looking for a wonderful musician and instrumentalist, but also a section leader and an active member of the orchestra.

With the repertoire choices, we want to explore the applicant's versatility as a principal musician and the solistic abilities. We also value musical and social interaction skills

Applicants will be invited for the audition on the basis of their application documents.

Unfortunately Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra cannot cover any of your travel or other expenses

Mandatory Pieces

Mozart: Violin Concerto no. 3 in G or no. 4 in D or no. 5 in A, 1st movement: Exposition and cadenza

Orchestral and chamber music excerpts which will be published latest soon after application deadline

**

One the following concertos: Bartók no. 2, Brahms, Nielsen, Sibelius or Tchaikovsky. A
 5-7 min passage from the 1st movement. Not necessarily from the beginning.
